I am thinking that maybe the best path to a strong nation is not to divide people into groups and then pit the groups against one another: race v. race, gender v. gender, generation v. generation, religion v. religion, working v. stay at home, class v. class, etc. We seem to be going more towards tribalism and pack thinking and away from individualism and freedom.

Agreed however there is a strong hatred of young people on FR.
The young are going to be the caretakers of this nation soon. Ever think that the older generation should be teaching the younger generation instead of despising and ignoring us?
Just a thought and this is not directed at you personally but rather FR in general.

Bingo! We have a winner! This has been The Plan for decades and the frog is almost boiled. See Alinsky and Cloward-Piven for why we are on the verge of a liberal fascist police state.

This is a great way to distract people from questions such as:
- Why are there 6,328,000 people who want a job not counted as in the labor force
- Why are there so many people employed part time who want/need full time work
- Why are good jobs that pay a decent salary and benefits being replaced by part time, no benefit, low salary jobs?
- Why are 125,000 new legal workers brought into the US monthly when the US is not creating enough jobs for its own people
- Why are both political parties cheer leading for more guest workers when unemployment for recent grads in the following fields is:
# Information systems 11.7%
# Mechanical engineering 8.6%
# General science 8.2%
# Biology 7.7%
# Computer science 7.4%
# Business 7.4%
# Chemistry 6.6%
# Healthcare 5.4%
# Education 5.4% - Why are low wage immigrants who cost US taxpayers NET $20,000 per [immigrant] household being brought into the US
- Why are the 30 - 40 million illegals who cost US taxpayers NET 1/4 - 1/3 Trillion per year tolerated and encouraged
- Why do 'Free Trade' agreements over ride our national immigration policy regardless of our unemployment situation
- etc. etc. etc.

Very well put.
And further, it is Leftist, zero-sum-game thinking to believe there can’t be jobs out there for everyone who wants to work. The entire premise of this article is bunk.
