You’re correct. In the video, the TSA seems to be working in conjunction with local authorities who are not pulling vehicles off the roads, but are inspecting trucks and commercial vehicles, which appears to be at a weigh station inspecting tractors and trailers. However, I don’t know the ins and outs of commerce traffic inspection so I can’t say if they violated laws and none that I see in the video.

This will be a stupid post when and if a nuke goes of that is in a big rig that was not checked out and it wipes out an entire city!

Typical DOT weigh station inspections do not involve cargo unless there is some sign that the cargo isn’t stable.

I get pulled over into one of these and you can damn well bet I’m telling them to bring a DOT officer over to give me Level 2 or 3 paperwork, and if they open my cargo they are giving me a level 1 or special level 4. I’m also calling company legal and company security as soon as my cargo seal gets broken.
