What’s going on is that Texas conservatives are educated and know that Lt. Governor Dewhurst is and always has been a conservative.

This is not Mourdock against Lugar.

Sure glad I'm not anywhere close to you so the lightening won't get me as well!

David Dewhurst is the Senate version of Joe Strauss! Nothing more or less than that!

Man, what gives with you? I’ve seen some of your other posts essentially implying that Liz Cheney is not a true conservative (in another thread discussing the possibility of her later running for Senate from Wyoming) and in this thread you’ve been implying that Cruz is not THE TRUE CONSERVATIVE in the Texas race. Things that make you go hmmm!

Dewhurst is NOT the conservative in the race.
Dewhurst is buying this election, but has no real base of support among activists. He’s been a status-quo leader in Texas lege and has punted more than he’s delivered.

We can do better. TED CRUZ.

Here’s who has endorsed Ted Cruz: SARAH PALIN, the Tea Party Express, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint and Rand Paul, Dr. James Dobson, Cathie Adams, George P. Bush, Gun Owners of America, Family Research Council Action PAC, FreedomWorks, Texas Home School Coalition PAC, Kelly Shackelford, David Barton, Peggy Venable and Young Conservatives of Texas... and a lot more. Ted Xruz has won straw poll after straw poll.

Texas are behind TED CRUZ for good reason. He is a smart, articulate, expounder of conservative principles who will represent conservatives well.

This is Rubio vs Crist type race. Say no to Dew-Crist.

Texas already has one John Cornyn and does not need another. In fact, as soon as Cornyn is up again, he ought to be primaried out as well. Hutchison, the retiring Senator, has been scum for years. Replacing her is a happy moment for Texas. Why spoil the happiness by letting Dewhurst survive to be her replacement.

This race is NOT Mourdock vs. Lugar. As important as the Indiana race was, Mourdock is good but not as good as Cruz and Lugar was no good like Dewhurst but was at least 80 years old with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. What on earth does the Senate GOP need with another money-obsessive GOP elite greedhead being nominated like Dewhurst. Texas owes a lot more to the GOP and to America than plain boring vanilla moderate elitist like Dewhurst. Ted Cruz is a lot more.

Forty years ago, radicals coined the saying: If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Dewhurst is part of the problem. In Texas, Cruz is the solution in 2012.

Ngat, you have inspired me to go out and put up Ted Cruz yard signs and a bumper sticker on my car.

I am disgusted with Dewhurst's distortions about the appellate brief Cruz was ask to work on by his employer.

I also remember that Dewhurst was one of those defending the proposed payroll tax that basically taxed an employee's income while it was in the hands of the employer. I will concede that Dewhurst is not as bad as Straus on social issues, but he has been flakey on conservative issues at times.
