What do you conjecture might happen if Romney would say his position has “evolved” and he absolutely believes marriage is between a man and a woman?

Some would believe that, many more would not (much like his stance on abortion: directly over the body of the dead fetus). I have no doubt Willard's camp is infested with gays who will push him to endorse "gay marriage" as that would be a huge win for them - both party nominees, and maintain their delusion that a majority of the USA agrees with them despite what they vote.

Stop discussing fantasies about Romney. As of one hour ago he stated his “unequivocal” stand that marriage is between a man and woman only. Others have posted here how gay marriage was passed in Mass. Over his objection, followed by analyses here of how he somehow should have ignored the Mass. Supreme court, etc.

Romney opposes same sex marriage, Obama supports same sex marriage.
