...After Supporter Says President ‘Should be tried for treason’
The Obama campaign slammed Mitt Romney Monday for not confronting a supporter who said during a town hall event in Cleveland that the president “should be tried for treason.”
“We have a president right now that is operating outside the structure of our Constitution,” a woman said during a question-and-answer session. “And I want to know — yeah, I do agree he should be tried for treason — but I want to know what you would be able to do to restore balance between the three branches of government and what you are going to be able to do to restore our Constitution in this country.”
Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, ignored the treason comment and answered her question.
“Well, as I’m sure you do, I happen to believe the Constitution was not just brilliant but probably inspired,” he said. “I happen to believe the same thing about the Declaration of Independence. I would respect the different branches of government if I am fortunate enough to become president.”

“Time after time in this campaign, Mitt Romney has had the opportunity to show that he has the fortitude to stand up to hateful and over-the-line rhetoric and time after time, he has failed to do so,” campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith said in a statement. “If this is the ‘leadership’ he has shown on the campaign trail, what can the American people expect of him as commander-in-chief?”
Romney repeated his position shortly after the event during an interview on CNN but rejected the notion that he had a responsibility to take on the audience member.
“I don’t correct all of the questions that get asked of me.” Romney said.

“I’m not on the payroll to defend Obama from comments others make about him that he might not like. I’m actually running against him.”

If we actually tried people for treason and sedition, maybe it would stop! Professional courtesy I guess.

They are reminding Mitt to stay politically correct, and that they expect him to police words like “Muslim” or “Marxist” or “Birth Certificate” or “Treason” or “Radical” by himself.

Both he and his wife, Michelle hate this country immensely, and are all they can to destroy it for “all” Americans. They may be able to fool the druggies and Kool-Aid drinkers, but....they are not fooling millions of Americans. And....the Democrats protecting Obama are dead wrong and will find out just how wrong they are on Election Day, November 6th.
The Democrats are way too subtle on this one ~ they need to 'splain it.

What a demonstration of the clear difference between Republicans (even RINOs like Romney) and Democrats. Republicans believe voters are adults and should be given the opportunity to exercise their First Amendment rights. Democrats believe voters are children who need to be corrected and instructed in what and how to think and speak.

So, according to The Won, Romney doesn’t antagonize the base enough? Well, makes as much sense as the talk I hear from the left about how the press savages Obama on a daily basis...far tougher than they were on Bush.

Federal law provides that treason may only be committed who owes allegiance to the United States.

“If you become president, will you appoint someone in the Justice Department who will investigate, prosecute and jail Eric ‘the Thug’ Holder, Barack Hussein Obama, (and others) for murder, sedition, perjury, theft, conspiracy, embezzlement, treason, hate crimes, racial bias and on and on?”
