Elsie responded to a reference about being fanatical.
You responded to Elz about that brief reference, calling such fanaticism "unChristlike...behavior."
I responded to you...essentially offering a sarcastic commentary as to why are only "faith-based" "fans" called out for being fanatical, whereas in sports it's only accepted but commended! [To the degree that Ohio winds up building some of the biggest stadiums anywhere]
If it's fanaticism per se that bothers you, then just start harping on all fans -- sports-based as well as faith-based...don't start just singling out the latter...
It's about getting deeper and being a follower of Jesus Christ, and not just 'fanatic.'
There's a difference between arrogant anger and being a disciple of Christ. There's a difference between sharing Christ, and brow beating everyone who doesn't agree with your personal feelings.
Most true followers of Jesus Christ understand that difference.
btw, I didn't 'single out' anything. I was talking about religious threads in general and their contentious, irrational anger devoid of critical thought and true spirituality.
I don't go there. I stick with politics here, and devote myself to Christ in His Holy Word and in prayer, the fellowship of Believers and ministry.
Does that aid your confusion and grossly misplaced sarcasm?
