Thanks.
I have often thought of compiling a list of those I though would be eligible to inherit Eternal Life, it would be a daunting task to include all those that have indeed laid out the rules to attain that goal.
I have been doing works, but who knows how many works to do.
I thought about memorizing the Bible, nah Computers make that unnecessary.
I thought about praying five times a day, nah, someone already uses that one.
Then I thought of some of the simpler things, like; Whosoever believeth on Me shall have everlasting life.
Even to those that Believe on My name.
Grace is a free gift of God, the price has been paid.
I have made the way so simple a fool could find it........
Hope that is seen, is not hope
for what a man doth see,
why does he yet hope.
Jesus is exactly who He said He was. Made Simple easy to understand statements about what was telling us. He left a simple plan, preachers and teachers made it complicated, not unlike how lawyers make the Constitution complicated today.
God intended for us to rule our selves, but like the days of old, we shout for a king to rule over us, then we shall obey all His rules.........
This might just possibly be a good summary of why we're saved by grace and not by works.... ;-)

Q1. What is your only comfort in life and death?
A. That I am not my own,(1) but belong with body and soul, both in life and in death,(2) to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.(3) He has fully paid for all my sins with His precious blood,(4) and has set me free from all the power of the devil.(5) He also preserves me in such a way(6) that without the will of my heavenly Father not a hair can fall from my head;(7) indeed, all things must work together for my salvation.(8) Therefore, by His Holy Spirit He also assures me of eternal life(9) and makes me heartily willing and ready from now on to live for Him.(10)

Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
1 John 3:21-24
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps Gods commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
