IMO, Free Republic and FReepers could be vital in swing states in rallying just enough conservatives to tip the election and prevent our troops from having to salute for even one day longer than necessary an ineligible Marxist committed to destroying the USA !

Yep, seal point lynx. Hubby is allergic to cats, but siamese have less of the hormone that produces allergic reactions. It is the difference between not being able to have a cat at all and having one sleep on our bed (!).
We have had two others, who have gone on to their cat condos in the sky, and this one was scheduled to be euthanized (because she wasn’t friendly) but after they saw her love right up to me, they let me adopt her instead. She is not quite 5 months and has already had a rough life.
Like too many other veteran posters, I have gone silent and withdrawn from FreeRepublic. I have done so for the reasons quoted above, for the ban on positively discussing Presidential candidates, and for the generous "truce"/permission to discuss them again.
Despite my reluctance to rejoin conversation, I cannot leave a fine conservative veteran poster, like eastforker, left hanging alone.
This delight in religion bashing being advocated & viciously defended, is absolutely un-American. It has been allowed to go on way too long. Both those who engage in it, and those who allow it personally turn my stomach.

You may not like our methods, but they DO work. That is how me and several other ex-Mormon freepers left Mormonism and came to the Christ of the Bible. Including at least 3 from the ‘anti-Mormon’ threads alone in the last 4 years.
There is no one method to reaching people and those trapped in pseudo-Christian cults need to see the errors of their group BEFORE they can be loved to the Lord.
It is completely different than witnessing to the ‘unchurched’. You may not agree with our methods, but they are Biblical and they are effective. I have been in ministry to Mormons for almost 20 years (since I left) and have seen it work over and over and over again.
Just food for thought.
Things seem to have become a bit strange here. I personally oppose Romney because of his politics... But I’m uncomfortable with the misplaced religious bickering and it appears a certain vocal minority is taking over FR.
