Obama ramps up campaign, knocks Romney's CEO past (Obama never ran even a Lemonade Stand)

U.S. President Barack Obama used his first rallies of the 2012 campaign on Saturday to attack Republican Mitt Romney for learning the "wrong lessons" as a business executive, and promised to move the economy forward if he wins a second term.

Obama formally launched his Chicago-based re-election effort last year, but the Democratic president's own campaigning has been confined to fundraisers while the Republican Party whittled down possible nominees to run against him.

That changed this weekend. Addressing spirited crowds in Ohio and Virginia - two states that could be critical to keeping the White House - Obama tried to regain the momentum that fueled his 2008 victory while sharpening his focus on the presumptive Republican nominee.

Obama, dressed in a button-down shirt with no jacket or tie, called Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and private equity executive, a "patriotic American" whose policies would not help the middle class.

You seem to have a problem with the way Romney made his money?

It’s interesting you use a Liberal website when arguing about whether “Romney” bankrupted a steel company. My guess is that the unions probably had more to do with their bankruptcy than Romney.

The only private sector, for-profit experience Obama claims was as an employee of an icecream stand. In that role, he took pride in stealing from his employer by giving away product to his friends.

Are you a Romneybot and/or 0bot? You like Romneycare and 0bamacare too? You also proChoice?

My guess is that the unions probably had more to do with their bankruptcy than Romney.

Keep guessing bozo.

It’s interesting you use a Liberal website...

It's interesting that you are defending a lying liberal.

In God's eyes, we're all as sinful as Obama or Romney...

Maybe you are.

...but I don't try to be more discerning than He Who Created Us.

You just claim to know what He sees through His eyes.

Not a Romney fan but wasn’t he a CEO of some company that offered something of value?

Only if you consider LBOs something of value. They strike me as a perfect example of the zero-sum game the Left characterizes the economy as. Bain always made money, though, no matter how many employees of the target company were let go or if the company went bankrupt or whatever.

From Romney and his supporters you hear more about Bain's early venture capital successes, e.g., Staples (though I heard they only invested about 10% themselves). But Bain seems to have made its big money in "private equity" (LBO's); I don't even know if they kept up any of the venture capital side.

First, Romney is not my “hero” but when you boil all the fat off then we will be left with 2 choices, Obama or Romney and this country can't take another 4 years of Obama.

Second, I was not referring to the “Liberal” video, I was referring to the link you posted sending me to “Thinkprogress”.

Third, Winning Our Future won't be doing any “Winning” this year because we are not going to have the option of our preferred candidate, he already dropped out.

You posted the link to “Thinkprogress” twice on this same thread. Is that your favorite website?

First, I'm neither a Romneybot or Obamabot.

Second, no, I don't support Obamacare or Romneycare, even though Romneycare is a state issue which thankfully I don't live in that state.

Third, I am Pro-Life and find you insinuation disgusting.

Forth, Most American Steel Companies went bankrupt because the unions and Federal Regulations made sure they couldn't compete with cheap Chinese Steel.

Fifth, I usually don't call people name but in your case I'll make an exception, you're an idiot.

Sixth, there's a difference in “defending a lying liberal” and pointing out that Romney did nothing illegal to make the money he has made. You seem to be disappointed with someone elses success?

Success? He failed at keeping those companies in business. So another idiotic statement from a moron! and yes, you certainly are a Romneybot!

Oh, and you could have saved the companies?

Since Romney didn't do anything illegal and made billions doing what he does, yes, he's a success. How about you Dick?

No Dick, I'm not a Romneybot, I'm an ABO.

Dick, don't write me again.

I know what the Bible says - we are all sinners and the penalty for any sin is death. Jesus died so those that accepted Him as Savior could be washed of their sins and have eternal life. The only unforgivable sin is to blaspheme the Holy Spitit. If either Romney or Obama has accepted Christ, God sees them as holy and pure, just like all who have done so. I doubt Obama has and find it ironic if Romney has, but I don't know any more than you do. Being saved does not exclude us from sinful acts, it just means that the acts aren't counted against us anymore - anyone who thinks differently is fooling themselves. I've known many in various churches who proclaim their infallible goodness because they are saved, yet I have also recognized their imperfections. It is said that the poor in spirit will inherit Heaven - Paul demonstrated what it is to be poor in spirit when he lamented that he was doing the things which he would not do, and not doing that which he would do. he was distressed at his inability to not commit sinful acts and to always do what was right and good - he recognized his imperfections and knew that withjout God's love and forgiveness he was unworthy.

It has nothing to do with me, it has all todo with God. I repeat: Do not try to be more discerning than God.
