So can the self-styled President Obama. With the right conservative leader in the Senate, Obama wouldn't have a SINGLE new judge on ANY court. They did it to Bush.
“Nugent slammed the Obama administration and singled out four members of the Supreme Court as not supporting the Constitution during his remarks at the National Rifle Association’s annual conference in St. Louis. Nugent, best known for his hit Cat Scratch Fever, is an NRA board member.
“If you want more of those kinds of evil anti-American people in the Supreme Court, then don’t get involved and let Obama take office again,” Nugent said Saturday. “Because I’ll tell you this right now: If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

My guess is that the ABO’s on Free Republic are women majority, and the no Romney no way’ers are men majority.
Just because we may cast a vote for Romney does not mean we cannot vocally and stridently oppose anything he does that is inconsistent with conservative values. Support him when he’s right on an issue, and fight against him when he’s wrong. I’d suggest that approach is perfectly consistent with both a clean conscience and sound policy.
Patting yourself on the back and insulting those that do not agree with you is not my concept of a truce.
I didn't realize all the states had voted in the primary and that the convention had occured. I thought THAT was supposed to be how the system works.

Just a thought....
What is needed is an integrated network of private schools that will again teach from the perspective that Western Civilization was (and is) superior, and teach with a true account of the facts of history (rather than the “rewritten history” of the post-1960’s).
Kind of like I remember receiving in public (yes, public!) schools in the 1950’s and early 1960’s before the lefties took it over.
Just as there are “Christian academies” that provide education based on a religious foundation for those parents who choose it for their kids, we need “Western Acadamies” that teach (for lack of a better phrase) “true history” from a Western perspective.
It may be impossible to reclaim the public schools from a Gramsican left that has become firmly entrenched. But that may not be necessary. What -is- necessary is to create a large-scale alternative to the public schools. Do the same thing with education that has been done [by conservatives and traditional-minded folks] with the mass-mainstream media — that is, ignore it, bypass it, do an end-run around it.
Just as conservatives now obtain their news and information from alternative sources, we must build a system to completely bypass the leftist indoctrination centers that are more commonly known as public schools.
The media are culpable in getting Romney nominated as well. They thought we would be less likely to support him, but I don’t see we have any choice. I’m just glad to know that God is still in control and I know how it will end eventually!

Conservatives didn't set this precedent. The GOP-E has shown they would rather lose to the Dem than support the Tea party goals and candidates. Yet now that they have their RINO, through scorched-earth primary politics, we're just supposed to forget their long knives and fall in line all in the name of party loyalty.
Sorry, but the GOP-E trashed the GOP brand last decade. The Tea Party is the only thing that revived it. I'm not just going to blindly back their idiocy again.

BULL. This is a Constitutional Republic, and it is our right to question EVERYTHING when it comes to the government. My Lord did not give me a brain to follow statists like Romney and Obama into tyranny. I will fight it with my last breath, as did my sainted ancestors, alongside the Founders.
