Back when she was still writing, someone here posted a Camille Paglia column, and I remember her writing that he didn't sound "like that" when she first met him. IOW, even his "cool black guy" accent is contrived. I had a feeling that was the case when I heard him pronounce words like "unity" (u-ni-teh). It seems that everything about him is contrived, but the adoring crowds ate it up.

One of the pillars of the Liberal Religion is deceit. They really went overboard with this guy. Those who were supposed to vet him must be extremely proud of themselves. That we are so easily fooled, as a people, is kinda scary.

Camille Paglia, bless her working man’s heart, has always been suspicious of this guy. Leftie though she may be, she could spot the lack of authenticity and had the intellectual honesty to say so. This Obama is obviously not a man, he is an elaborately contrived “legend.”
