Mom is behaving better than most under these circumstances. She just lost her child and deserves a modicum of slack. As for the boy being out at 11 PM at night, it was a Friday night playing in the front yard. Mom was there and asked where he was going so it wasn't unsupervised. A middle-school kid, caught up by the peer influences in a Black culture destroyed by The Great Society. No doubt some sort of gang initiation. The story also says he lived with his parents, emphasis on the plural.

It is hard enough raising a teenager these days, I thank God that I am not trying to do it in the Black community. Talk about a stacked deck. A prayer for that mom.

I feel for the mother’s grief too. And what makes it harder to raise kids these days is the aggressively secular ambient culture which drives biblical morality from public consciousness. It is evil days for our land.
