Not voting for Romney is easy to do if you are in a deep blue or a deep red state. I’m in Connecticut, you’re in California - our votes will do nothing to keep Obama from gaining the electoral votes from our states.

Your question should be directed at purple states, in particular FL, PA, OH, MI, CO, NM, NC, VA, MN, WI

Exactly. I have the advantage of living in a bright blue state (WA), where they will elect 0bama unless there’s a landslide.

In any case, my vote is entirely non-decisive. So, I’ll send a message by voting for all the other Republicans, except Romney.

I have the luxury of avoiding the vote for the lesser of two Socialists.

You left out the freshly minted purple states that a Romney nomination brings into play:

Montana, South Dakota, Missouri, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
