How does one justify a vote for Romney?

I do not intend to walk into the polling booth muttering, "I'll show you, I'll kill me."

I'm voting for the survival of the country not for the reform of a political party.

A vote for Mitt will not be a vote for the survival of our Republic. Mitt would not try to turn our Republic towards Liberty. Mitt will grow government.

We are on an unstoppable path towards radical Socialism.

Liberty can flower again only after the left and RINOs push the government to the point of "essential" collapse.

Amen! Just think about it --- Barack Obama, 4 more years, what could possibly go wrong?

I am heartened to see a lot of people on this thread that have decided that the future of the country is more important than the fact that a certain politician doesn't meet your standards of perfection. Newsflash: There is no perfect candidate.

I went through this in my mind just before the caucuses in my state (WA). I went through each candidate and I ended up with Romney. Everybody has a downside. But, I believe this man loves his country and likes the American people. This puts him ahead of Obama on both points. The current POTUS seems to hate America, and he doesn't seem to like the American people much either. I was talking to my husband about this when I was going through the pros and cons prior to the caucuses and I mentioned to him that I thought Romney would probably come up with a decent cabinet. My husband's response was, "yeah, he might even have cabinet meetings". I laughed; but, it was true. Obama is running this country through his "tsars", the Cabinet is just a front to make it seem like he is doing the normal things expected of a POTUS.

It is dismaying and somewhat depressing sometimes to read the stuff on this site (and I have been a Freeper for quite some time). I am hoping most people will be voting on the economy and if they do, a businessman is going to do well.

I often hold great respect for certain FReepers. You indeed are one of them. You often bring great wisdom and insight to the discussion, but...there always is in these responses:

I've been thinking hard over this vote come November. I in no way think a vote for Romney is a vote for the survival of our country. Romney is just the good cop, the velvet glove, the soft touch of republican progressivism.

As I posed the question to another FReeper, Satan or Ba’al? And for me that question, indeed this election, feels like we are waiting for Moses to come down from the Mountain.

Is that still possible?

I think I'll vote to keep souls from being deceived by MORMONism.
