You know what I just don’t understand is we are told that his base is antiwar, wants gitmo closed etc: So how does this help him election wise? Is this more about his ego and street cred than the election? I really don’t understand what he is doing with this.

“I really don’t understand what he is doing with this.”

He is controlling the News Cycles for the rest of the week, and weekend, with the ONLY foreign policy victory he can trumpet.

He can’t run on the economy, it’s slowing.
He can’t run on jobs, unemployment is rising again.
He can’t run on making life better, because the average Americans life has gotten MUCH WIRSE under Obama.

It’s ALL HE’s GOT, and Axelrod told us LAST YEAR that killing bin Lademn meant Obama would be reelected. They have been planning this for TWO YEARS, folks.

As a side note:
This tells me some HORRIBLE economic news is just around the corner. This is an attempt to sieze the news cycles before unemployment numbers hit?

I’ve been asking about this to friends and family, A person I really respect (me mum) suggested that his base is going to vote for him anyway, doesn’t matter what he does or says. Doesn’t matter that he ate dog, ran the debt up to 13 trillion dollars, drops drones in foreign lands like other presidents have dropped aid packages. This is to get the independant vote, those who are worried about national security. Since most people I know are absolutely freaked about the state of the economy, I don’t know what % of the indept. vote this could be. This looks desperate to me.
