All the attacks happened over a three day period, this week, in D.C.’s Petworth neighborhood. One victim was killed in the brutal attacks. The other four are expected to survive. In each of the cases, police say, the assailant did not appear interested in robbing his victims.
On Saturday, the named suspect in two of the attacks appeared before D.C. Superior Court Judge Michael Rankin for an initial hearing. Michael W. Davis, 19, who lives in Petworth, is a tall and powerfully-built. Two of his brothers are NFL players.

When Judge Rankin denied bond, several women in the courtroom then began weeping aloud. A court security officer conducted one of them outside, and warned the others to keep quiet.
A man who identified himself as Davis’ father, but refused to provide his name, spoke briefly with reporters outside the courthouse. When a reporter said police are accusing his son of a terrible crime, the father replied, “Well [police] accuse many people of things.” Asked if he wanted to state for the record that he believes his son is innocent, the father replied, “No more comments.”
I have no answer for this crime nor the double murder in Nevada. They are all “good boys” until they rape/kill someone. That is another aspect of these tragedies - decent families get shattered by what one of them does, often behind their backs.
Victims: society; the dead and wounded, and their families; the family of the perp; and the liberal dupes who refuse to admit that there are people in society who are homicidal and need to be jailed or executed because they are “A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO ANYONE NEAR THEM, UNTIL THE DAY THEY DIE”.
Fools: The above liberals and leftists; their lying families where they know what kind of kid they had; victims who make excuses for their attackers; academics who make excuses for the perps; clergy who make excuses for the perps; marxists/communists who always blame society for causing everything from crime to rising ocean levels; the media for being sympathetic to psychopaths; and anyone else who refuses to recognize that there are evil people who do evil things to others, that they live in our society, and NEED TO BE DEALT WITH SEVERELY.
Maybe DC will wake up. Maybe Sen. Reid and Nevada will wake up - after these horrible crimes. Maybe not. If they don’t, then the real horrible crime is their refusal to deal with reality, and they become accomplices after the fact, or, in many cases, before the fact (i.e. the waiter who Bill Buckley and Norman Mailer supported in getting out of jail on a murder sentence, who then killed again).
My philosophy, for the hardcore, first degree murderers, is that “an executed murderer NEVER murders again.”
I wrote a column by that title in 1982 in a major Baltimore newspaper. Maryland doesn’t execute anyone any more thanks to the Democrats, and murder is rampant in “Charm City”, “The City of Brotherly Love”, the “Big Apple”, the “Windy City”, the “Motor City”, the “City of the Angles”, “The Capital”, etc.
