By 1985, the career of Mac Davis was coming to a close.

This marked the end, as artists like Clint Black, Randy Travis and Garth Brooks took up the mantle of Hot Country. But Mac had one last bullet left in his arsenal, and he fired it in 1989 when he teamed up with Dolly Parton. What a way to go!

Thanks for a great story. Hate that Mac doesn’t record any more. I liked his energy! :)

Looking forward to Eddie Rabbitt...don’t know much about him
but have a few faves from his “arsenal”. :)
