But your quote comes from the period of “The Rights of Man”. I just found it ironic that someone who seems to loath the current GOP nominee (I presume) would use a quote from someone who in 1792 was the West’s most prominent atheist and a strong supporter of the Jacobin faction, as far left as you could get in the 18th century.
