Threat against Sen. Marco Rubio under investigation, his office says

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is the target of a threat deemed credible enough to merit police protection in Washington, D.C., and at his home in West Miami, his office said late Tuesday.

The freshman senator rocketed to national political stardom in recent weeks as he jumped to the top of the shortlist of potential running mates for presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. From CNN to The Daily Show, Rubio has become a staple of cable-news chatter about whether Romney will offer him the spot — and whether he would take it.

But the fame has made him not just a magnet for support and criticism, but now the target of a threat.

Rubio’s office said no additional information about the threat would be released for now. The U.S. Capitol Police and the West Miami Police Department are providing security and investigating.

A police cruiser was parked in front of Rubio’s West Miami home Tuesday night. The senator was not home; he is scheduled to deliver a foreign policy speech Wednesday at the Brookings Institution in Washington.

If Rubio became Romney’s running mate, he would receive around-the-clock protection from the U.S. Secret Service.

Funny how B-1 Bob changed his tune once Loretta Sanchez and her latino political machine took his district away from him.

Unfortunately the Stupid Party has plenty more that are just as clueless as Dornan before his education. Dubya comes to mind.

B-1 was quite fond of "his" Mexicans. They always did a splendid job on the lawns and flower beds and his cocinera was just a wonder. Her husband was a very reliable driver, too.

Until Loretta (her sister is worse) beat his brains out with fake voters in one of the slickest vote scams ever seen, he didn't notice the other millions of illegal aliens turning California into the capital of the Third World and a province of Aztlán.

Loretta's team not only registered the dead illegal aliens, they created virtual living families for them, living at non-existent addresses. They registered felons, legal and illegal. They issued absentee ballots and used them repeatedly in whatever precincts in which they might be needed. Just brilliant. B-1 was the perfect stooge. Of course, he was so boring, that his complaints were completely ignored by the GOP!

But that is California. No fewer than 80 or 90 state legislators are in their luxuriously upholstered seats through blatant fraud, usually involving the "votes" of illegal aliens!

Weirdly, every conversation with B-1 always turned to WWII History Channel material, the ballistics of the 30-06, and interminable airplane chitchat about Spitfires and NAZIs.

PS: I LOVED the guy! He was the wonderful crazy uncle every 40 year-old kid wanted!

He was entertaining although largely useless. And he did encourage the very problem that resulted in him losing his seat in Congress.

But it looks like Dornan’s empty headed embrace of illegal immigrants is now SOP for the Stupid Party, and they will get rewarded just as B-1 did, until the whole rotten carcass disintegrates.

The bad part is that the people of Orange County didn’t deserve to get stuck with Loretta.

Having met many, many RotFs (Republicans of the Future, Olé!) I marvel at Karl Rove's prophetic abilities. Surely this power of his is enhanced by copious quantities of the RotF sacramental host, Psilocybin. There can be no other explanation.
