The map shows 2 over Austin and 1 over San Marcos.

Someone is really curious about the happenings in Central Texas.

I did not see the drone location in Montgomery co., Texas. The MC sheriffs office was just plain giddy when they received their DHS grant for the drone.

The boy’z were testing their toy’z and the damn thing crashed into the swat tank.....funny as all get out!!!!

The only one over Austin is the Texas Department of Public Safety one. It's possible that it's based out of the National Guard HQ at Camp Mabry (both Army and Air National Guard), but being that it's DPS it could be deployed anywhere in the state. I'd like to think it was being deployed along the border. It is listed as "Expired" though.

As for the other two, one is Hayes County Emergency Management - kind of disappointing since I always like Hayes County and would think they would stay away from drones. It also listed as "Expired".

The other is Texas State University in San Marcos and is listed as "Active". I can actually see several reasons for them to have one or more drones, similar to Texas A&M having drones with their engineering department.
