WASHINGTON As he was belatedly honored for his actions in a battle near Duc Pho, Vietnam, 42 years ago, Antonio Martinez chose to put the focus on fellow soldiers who never made it home.
"I lost a brother that day," Martinez said Friday after receiving the Bronze Star with "V" for valor in a ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. "His name was Joe McNett. Joe saved my life that morning.

“Hand Salute.”
Welcome Home, Brother.
Thanks for that post.
Here’s another one that was overlooked for 55 years! The man, Tibor Rubin, was awarded under George W. Bush, thank God. A Jew who started off in a concentration camp (13 yrs old) and came through that and swore to fight for the U.S.
Not trying to hijack the thread FRiend; it seems alot of our true heroes have been completely overlooked. It’s disgusting and wanted to add this link as well.
