And since you heard the tapes, you know that the dispatcher asked Zimmerman to report what the guy is doing, which would be rather hard to do if he lost sight of him from his car. Getting out to see if he could regain visual contact seems like a totally reasonable thing to do.

If I see you wander around my street at night, aimlessly, in places where you clearly do not belong, I WILL approach you, I WILL talk to you. I will be polite, I will have a smile on my face, but I will also be armed, and if you don't wish to interact, then you better run as fast as you can in the opposite direction and never come back.

I cannot believe the neutered passivity some Freepers advocate in keeping order. Just cower behind the curtains and let the unionized "professionals" handle it. Makes me ill.

Your logic falters. The dispatcher then said, "We don't need you to do that" when the dispatcher found out Z. was outside his vehicle looking for Martin.

And I am going to remind you once more that Z. was a captain in "Neighborhood Watch." That's "watch and report," not watch and take action. The police were on the way according to the dispatcher.

You sicken easily.
