Mark Levin: The Speech Romney Should Give.
http://spectator.org/blog/2012/04/17/mark-levin-the-speech-romney-s ^ | April 17, 2012 | Jeffrey Lord

I saw this posted on Real Clear Politics, and it's worth a listen by the Romney people.

It's an audio of Mark Levin on "The Speech Romney Should Give."

Governor Romney gave a speech to a group of wealthy supporters and made the classic moderate Republican mistake of dissing "true believers" -- i.e., conservatives.

Somebody on Team Romney needs to have a discussion on conservatives with the candidate. The Governor is clearly a smart guy, a good man and he would be head and shoulders a better president than his soon-to-be opponent.

But if this attitude persists it can either lose an election that shouldn't be lost… or lose an administration that will need every last bit of conservative support to succeed.

However, your vanity post holds the key to understanding what Levin, Rush, Hannity, Beck, Bolling, Cavuto and Kudlow et al- all these allegedly free-market conservative talking heads who have gone for Romney and abandoned the field prematurely - they all have something in common that the founders of the country had - military experience - the founders having it in the French and Indian War and later during the Revolutionary war - and the alleged conservative talkers lacking any of it.

I don't know if you are scrolling through the thread but this Freeper says it more poignantly and clearly than me by a trillion:

"The First Patriots who carried General Washington across the Delaware, with his Army, to attack the Brits, never found anything too cold, too dark, or having too much ice.

They were naturally resistant to the cold, and their night vision was vastly improved over that of others, and as for ice, they could slide right along, ever upright.

They'd marched barefoot into Valley Forge ~ and they could have marched back up the way just as barefoot.

Their brothers, cousins, fathers and sons had fought bravely in the Wild Geese to protect Washington and his Army as they retreated from New York.

They never surrendered."

To think that Newt has any chance is nothing short of pure day-dreaming. His baggage is heavy enough to sink a fleet of Titanics, his Grand Canyon-type gender gap has only gotten wider, his “southern strategy” went up in smoke, he is polling in the single digits, so what he says or does is no longer relevant, and there is no media following him. He thrashes FoxNews and now says that CNN is more balanced. We no longer hear about the $2.50 gas/gallon or the permanent moon-based colonies within eight years and instead the news about Gingrich is about penguin bites.

Our task is to mitigate the damage, make sure we have a strong conservative VP, and hold Romney’s feet to the fire (especially as it relates to SCOTUS appointments) in case he beats Obama. Ths is what Sarah Palin and Levin are saying as well. Anybody but Obama.

Speaking of conscience, knocking down Santorum who won 11 states and 3 millon plus votes, clobbered Gingrich in the south, and had to quit for purely personal reasons to take care of a seriously ill daughter is pathetic.

Yes, on the day Santorum quit he announced on his program that Newt couldn't beat Romney, and it was time for conservatives to pull out a victory for Mitt Romney".

Peddle it somewhere else... and make excuses for not supporting the Last Conservative Standing, you will have plenty of cowards to keep you company.

Santorum Explains Why He Quit: http://www.startribune.com/politics/147256685.html

That is just one of the things you have incorrect, only I won't bother pointing them out.

Can't waste anymore time on Santorum Supporters stuck in Newt Hate...

Ignore List, YOU.

Levin is taking the small space left to us and doing what he can with it. He is not falling in line with the GOP establishment.

Voting for Romney isn't falling in line with the Republican establishment?

The establishment doesn't give a rat's behind how much conservatives complain so long as the Mark Levins of the world end up voting for whoever they put up.

There is no reason for the establishment to change for them to move to the right so long as conservatives will always buckle and support the Republican nominee.

You know what else he’s trying to do now? Ban cars altogether and have everyone ride bikes. Why? Because he’s a fanatical believer in the global warming hoax. So now just about every street has been split in half - one half for bikes one half for cars which has made traffic twice as worse. Everday millions of people go through hell trying to get to work. And how many use those bike lanes? NOBODY maybe 2 or 3 people every hour which includes bike messengers and food delivery guys. Meanwhile on the other half of the street, trucks, taxis, buses, cars are all crammed together bumper to bumper moving 2 MPH for miles on end. It’s so freakin’ absurd it’s not funny. Everyday ambulances, firetrucks, cops go through hell on earth trying to respond to emergencies. Once I saw an ambulance stuck on Broadway for FORTY FIVE minutes in ONE spot unable to move! And if their patient died guess who the Despot blames? The ambulance drivers which he has done twice already! NOBODY wanted these bike lanes, there were even protests held, but like what I said before: We live under a Depotism and what the Despot wants the Despot gets.

I have a question, if you get a decent mayor, can any of this be undone? I mean it sort of sounds like what's being done to the country, and no one is quite sure how much of that can be undone...

If you live in Manhattan, take heart - my favorite favorite city - and almost worth the hassle!

Levin has made it abundantly clear that he has little use for Romney. He doesn’t think we can survive four more years of Obama. So he is taking deliberate, intelligent steps to try to avoid that.

If Mark Levin was a Freeper, he would been zotted by now. But he is trying to get rid of Obama, just like the rest of us out here who love our country.

Yes it’s a great city but just don’t live here or try to run a small business because the Despot will make it hell on earth for you. Remember when the OWS protestors where camped out near Wall street and the Despot was allowing them to trash small mom and pop stores around the area withoout any of them getting arrested? That’s what the Despot thinks of the small business owner. And forget about opening a business dealing with food. The Despot now demands letter ratings be placed in the windows depending on how much you pay off the “health inspector”. Pay enough and you get a letter A in your window meaning the food is quality. Pay too little and you get a C which means your food is sh*t which makes customers stay away. In other words he once again copies Nazi Germany with the Star of David in windows of Jews only he uses letters if you do not kowtow to the Despot. He does all this because he wants to control what eople eat which is why there are less and less food places and more and more high end fashion stores taking it’s place. And to answer your question if all of this can be undone, I doubt it especially being that he has declared himself Despot for life.

I listen to Levin too, and he he raised the white flag about four months early.

False. He backed Santorum to the day Santorum withdrew.

Not false.

Levin dumped on Gingrich and started giving campaign advice over the radio to Romney the very day Santorum dropped out.

It’s about (actually a little less than) four months to the convention.
