I like the scenario you put forth, but it has a fatal flaw. In order for it to work you would need two things, both of which do not exist.
  1. You need an electorate that cared more about selecting the people with the power to take everything they have at the point of a gun than they do about bread and circuses. The fact is, until the majority of this people start looking as deeply at the politics that surround the running of this republic as closely as they follow baseball, football, or whoever is currently the top of the pop charts, we don't even have the basis to open up a discussion with them.
  2. You need people who cared enough about whether or not the president is a "natural born citizen". We know how this particular phrase has been defined by the courts, but the vast majority of the people in this country have never read a legal brief in their life. The entire question turns on minutiae. Give 100 years of public education, the question is, quite frankly, over the heads of the majority of people in this country. They couldn't tell you where in the constitution that phrase appears or why it is in our founding document. You have a huge number of people out there who will believe any lie, no matter how flimsy or nonsensical that is put forth by the ruling establishment. Hell, a crapload of them only care about the apparent color of the president's skin.

Sorry, but I no longer have any hope that we'll be able to avoid the totalitarian nightmare I've been seeing out of the corner of my eye all my life. You can expect full scale riots in some quarters later this year over one manufactured incident or another. They are just warming up the crowds over this Trevon Martin thug.

The electorate does care as evidenced by their action in 2010.

2010 galvanized the electorate into action because of primarily two factors:
1) Bailouts for cronies and
2) Obamacare rammed down their throats.

What we have now is:

1) Wait and see on the Supreme Court regards to Obamacare.
2) The Federal Reserve through their surrogate member banks propping up federal, state governments and markets through money created out of thin air.

So the social mood is watchful and subdued, waiting for a spark to ignite its fury again.

For my earlier two points regarding Newt’s brokered convention and Sheriff Arpaio, I am not saying they are sure to happen but that it is plausible they could happen.

First a brokered convention is free from negative ads, from bribes to delegates and from democrats crossing to vote for Romney in the primaries. The focus is one on one with delegates and floor speeches. Newt wins in these kinds of arenas so there is a good chance he turns the convention upside down.

With respect to Sheriff Arpaio, he has given hints that they have info on the forger of the long form birth certificate (LFBC). Although true that this does not affect voters in their pocketbooks, it does make the media stand up and take note that a forger exists, has been identified and hopefully arrested.

Now this forgery scenario will likely generate great sensation and mystery. If it plays out well for the Sheriff and I believe it will because the media will then have to pay attention to other evidence the Sheriff has, then we can see a spark that will ignite a movement to get the corrupt bastards out of the public arena and into prison or driven from politics for good.

It is not necessary that all this happens, it only matters that the confluence of these unrelated things make people angry enough to get rid of Romney and drive Obama out of office where the courts can later deal with he and his people.

If Romney gets the nomination at the convention, it is nearly certain that he will lose to Obama. I view this as an opportunity for conservatives to stop Obama with a conservative influence in the House and Senate, and to take back the GOP from those that have warred against conservatives.

In this latter case history will record that conservatives and GOP liberals fought a civil war within their party for control and I hope to see it written that the conservatives won and then turned their attention on the democrats.

It is written that in the WWII European Theatre that the American military brass and American political ranks fought at each other and within each other for the first 2 years until one side won out against the other, then they turned their attention to the Germans.

We face a long war and those that sell out to Romney will suffer the consequences.

The bottom-line is that Romney is a democrat that has taken over the Republican Party. In the slim chance that he won the presidency, the Republican Party would be lost to conservatives for generations, the party of Reagan would cease to exist and the Rockefeller Republican class would resume control.

But Romney will not win the general election, and conservatives must move in for the kill when he loses. Because those fence sitting GOP moderates in the Senate will be watching and if they see how determined we are, they should block just about anything Obama tries to get through.

Although Obama has shown his willingness to thumb his nose at the Constitution, he will not be able to appoint judges without Senate approval. That fact and the expectation that the GOP will control the Senate means conservatives need to exert extraordinary influence on fence sitting Senators in much the same way that Obama and his thugs exerted in the throes of ramming Obamacare down our throats.
