A third possibility: that the administration will do whatever it wants to do, and if anything goes wrong the Service will be the scapegoat.
Saw an elderly gentleman on the news today who stated that he tried to blow the whistle on this type of behavior when he was Secret Service. He was fired. He said that it’s been going on for years.
It could be that Russia has a friend in the White House, and to keep him free to sabotage the US, he has to have incompetent Secret Service agents, people who lack the intelligence to know what is going on, or the integrity to care.
It’s just a theory. Maybe they were all drugged with massive doses of Viagra, including Hillary.
The SS was moved from being under Treasury to being under Homeland inSecurity. Look at TSA in terms of corruption and unethical sexual abuse of the children, handicapped and elderly.
Homeland Security is an all powerful, corrupt domestic police and spy organization. It is going to get much worse before it gets better.

Heard on a program tonight, the SS used to be in the Treasury Dept. and there were high standards - now, it’s under Homeland Security - no wonder they have mightly fallen.
For me, the bloom went of the Secret Service rose back when they covered up the crimes and misdemeanors of our ex-DIRTPOTUS Bubba Clinton.
I don’t find it surprising at all that their morale is in the crapper, that their professionalism is down there with it, and I suspect quite strongly that the most favored agents are now among those I would be tempted to distrust the most.
I would think that to be a good bodyguard you have to be able to respect the person you’re protecting. I think Obama would make that very hard to do.
