Nonsense. It was clear to everyone that she supported Newt. If he fell into third place in the running, and now may not be able to head Mitt off at the pass, that certainly wasn’t her fault.

How did she support him? She twice told people to vote for him. And voted for him in Alaska, but never mentioned it until AFTER the fact on Fox News that Night?

Has she made one appearance for him? Written one thing on her facebook page urging conservatives to vote for him? Has she done anything but utter 3 sentences about her empty support for him?

That's sufficient in what she and all the other so-called conservatives call the most important election of our lifetime? I love Sarah, have always supported her. But she is not behaving like a patriot... people can still love and support her, and see clearly enough when she is not standing on principles... cheeleading from teh sidelines isn't enough.

Sarah publicly supported Newt twice, at a critical time. And her husband publicly endorsed him. Now, does anyone think her husband would do that without her approval? He’s not a political guy.

She also tweeted several times in Newt’s favor.

That gave Newt a boost, but regretably it didn’t last long. That was for him to deal with, not Sarah.

As a Fox News employee, there are lines she cannot cross. Roger Ailes has already made it clear that he regrets hiring her. She couldn’t have made it more obvious who she supported without crossing the lines as a news employee. She did her part, which was to give Newt a boost at a critical moment—the same moment, actually, when Jim Robinson declared his support. It’s not her job to pick Newt up and carry him. He needs to make it on his own, although with her clear support. As I said before, she can’t do it for him.
