FLASHBACK:

The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided …to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Probe: Mitt missed chance to keep Tavares jailed - Could have nixed killer’s early exit

Friday, December 28, 2007 - Boston Herald
"Former Gov. Mitt Romney’s administration failed to act on disciplinary recommendations
that would have kept ex-con killer Daniel Tavares locked up another year -
and behind bars at the time he was accused of killing a newlywed couple in Washington state."

"Despite Tavares’ long history of violence, the Romney-led Department of Correction
took no action on recommendations that he be stripped of “good time” because
of assaults on prison guards in 2003 and 2005, said sources familiar with a state probe into the case."

Once again as Romney let conservatism slide (never had it anyway)
Romney made certain that they died.

"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans,
has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced
,
instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who
have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats
or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians
or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show.
In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters,
and 14 registered Democrats."
- Boston Globe 7/25/2005

Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge
Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys.
He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."
- U.S. Senate testimony by Gov. Mitt Romney, 6/22/2004 P>

"Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends
Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!

Governor Mitt Romney pledged yesterday not to make a flurry of lame-duck
judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges
aggressively in the waning moments of their administration," Yas said.
He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.
"The legal community has consistently criticized him for not filling open seats quickly enough
and being a little too painstaking in the process and being dismissive of the input of the
Judicial Nominating Commission," Yas said.

No, no. No.

1.) Romney is congentially risk-adverse and will choose a safe running mate.

2.) There is no way, after spending tens of millions of his family’s dough that he will bow out graciously, especially because of #3.

3.) He is philosophically the unPalin, in case you haven’t noticed.

It was more of a nightmare. Sarah would never accept and mitt wouldn't ask. Mitt ain't changing - don't waste your time hoping for that. The disaster about to come could have been prevented by voting for Newt - but voters where too hung on the 'couch'.

The most qualified, proven accomplishments, great platform, the perfect candidate to take on Obama. While Mitt is the worst - that's why he was chosen. He ain't going to beat him Barry. He is so weak, barry won't break a sweat defeating him. Mitt will no longer have media protector. And he has nothing to beat him with. NOTHING!

You next dream might be 'what could have been'.

Mitt just might see the light and realize that the only way to make sure Obama is defeated is to first, choose Sarah as his running mate

You’ve got to quit getting drunk before you go to bed. It screws up your dream cycle big-time. (LOL; just kidding bro.) Listen, I love Sarah Palin to pieces. I was praying that she would be the GOP VP nominee in 2008 before 90% of America ever heard of her. But, she has been so demonized by the media, and the American Electorate, by and large, are dumb enough to believe all the lies, she would not help the Ticket. Now go back to bed and dream of Marco Rubio in the VP spot. And in your dream, the GOP carries Florida, cuts into Obama’s Hispanic vote big-time and the half-white trash currently occupying the White House has to move out. Sweet Dreams!!!

Romney could serve two years and a day and then resign.
Palin could then serve 10 years. 2+4+4

If Palin were to accept his invitation... I would change my staunch high regard for Sarah... but she will support him if he is the nominee... I do not believe that she would be his VP. It would not change my mind about NOT voting for willard... never going to happen for any reason... period!

You mittiacs aren't even stealthy anymore. Milt does not have the nomination yet, so this drive at FR to establish him as the only nominee is not only premature, it is a filthy defiance of what Jim Robinson has said regarding using FR to promote the lying abortion loving high priest of LDS inc.

Romney would never pick Palin for VP, and he would never agree to resign under those circumstances.

Get over it. Dreams aren’t real, as much as you’d like them to be.

I think that would be a terrible idea. It might not be illegal but it would certainly not be proper. If Romney wins the Presidency it will be because millions of people voted for him to be president.

No matter how much you or I might prefer Sarah Palin to be President, this would be “bait & switch” plain and simple.

And just as I don’t think riots in the streets will help Obama get re-elected (in fact I think just one big riot by blacks would pretty much doom him to defeat) I certainly don’t think riots in the streets would help a hypothetical President Palin or President Romney.

Sarah Palin was free to run for President, she chose not to. That’s not Mitt Romney’s fault, or Barack Obama or anyone else’s.

Maybe she’ll run in the future, maybe not. It’s her choice to make.

Step away from the absinthe, dude. There are too many holes in this scenario to even contemplate, not least of which is the fact that if Sarah Palin even rode in the same car with Mitt Romney, all she would get out of the deal are fleas.

I’m right on board with this idea, with one minor change: Replace Romney with, oh, I don’t know, Sponge Bob Square Pants.

I don’t think Romney would choose Sarah for VP in a million years. He recently told a meeting of his big-money donors that a brokered convention would mean the risk of giving people like “Sarah Palin and evangelicals” a voice. I’m quite sure he looks down on her. And I believe she has said she wouldn’t take the #2 spot again.

Sarah Palin, nor a resurrected Ronald Reagan, nor any other politician can “save” this country.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

No matter who we put into office, we still have this same electorate. Until we the electorate changes, there is little we can do to “take back” the country.
