A year ago if you suggested that Newt would be the standard bearer for Conservatism I would have laughed in your face - he isn't Reagan - but he is no less Conservative than Rick. Plus he's a fighter, not a quitter.
Mitt doesn't have enough delegates. Newt's still fighting. Mittens will not win the general election - he just wont. There's no compelling case he can make to distinguish himself against his darker skinned twin.
Newt will mop the floor with Bammy. One debate between Gingrich and the Telepromptertard and he'll eviscerate, not just the muslim pretender, but liberalism at large.
If Newt's willing to fight on, how can we do any less?

You nailed it. Thank you for succinctly stating exactly where we are on April 16, 2012.
Freepers are cnservatives and we can make a difference. Go Newt!
I don’t like Newt. I do not think Newt is a stable person. He lacks wisdom and control. He could be a disaster.
I find it bizarre that while Santorum was doing so well, Newt supporters on this site treated him awfully and insulted Santorum voters 24/7. They refused to vote for Santorum in the primaries where he could have beaten Romney, but instead kept up the call for him to drop out. Now, they want what they refused to do since Super Tuesday. And they want it for a lost cause at this point.
Some around here don’t want to vote for the nominee. That is their right and it is my right to vote for who I want to vote for in the primary. Newt cannot win the nod outright. He could only try at a brokered convention.
If he is the nominee, I will vote for whoever the nominee is, but I will not be very cheerful about it.
I have said that for months now.
