This is good news, but I don’t expect either Romney or Obama to lead/trail by more than 4 or 5 points (with the exception of outliers) between now and November.

it is going to be tight

About a month before Election Day, start looking at the Undecided number. About 2/3 (66%)of the Undecideds always go for the Challenger. If an incumbent still hasn’t won them over after 4 years, he’s a goner. So, if Romney is at 47 percent and Obozo is at 45 percent with the Undecideds at 8 percent, a month before the Election, look for Romney to win with 52 percent with 48 percent for the Marxist Muslim.

I respectfully disagree. I believe Romney will carry roughly forty states, handily.
Obama will carry eight to ten states, but just barely. Romney will win in an almost landslide, 55% to Obama’s 45%. Both the house and the senate will go heavily Republican. The Democrat Party will be the minority party for at least the next twelve years.

The Democrat Party can halt the losses, but....only by forcing Obama to resign immediately, which they will not do for racial reasons only. The power brokers in the Democrat Party know that Obama is a loser, but....they will go down with him, rather then boot the first USA Black POTUS!!!

“it is going to be tight”

I’m cautiously optimistic that Obama will lose by double digits, but don’t expect our sensationalized media to admit that. What ratings do they get if the result is a foregone conclusion?

Four years ago I saw a lot more support for Obama in my neck of the woods; now I see more foreclosures & unemployment.

I doubt it. I agree Romney won’t paste Obama, because he’s going to run the most boring conservative (and I don’t mean politically conservative, but risk free) campaign you have ever seen.

Reality is simple guys, and always has been, ANY republican that can’t be painted as an insane radical would beat Obama in November. Every single poll has indicated the electorate wants this idiot gone by overwhelming margins.

So the election boils down to simply this, is the option to replace Obama with someone who is going to make the electorate decide nope, he’s worse that Obama we’re staying put. Romney will never be able to be painted as worse than Obama to the swing voters, who have by and large abandoned the false prophet of Fauxbama.

I think Gingrich would have absolutely smoked OBama, because he would have taken the ideolgical battle right to america and framed the entire campaign on it and won. Romney won’t do that, so it will be a long boring campaign where the Democrats with nothing to offer but mud slinging because their record is utter crap are going to throw everything they can at Mitt, but its not going to work.

I think 5 points is a cakewalk for Romney. I agree it won’t be a blow out, because he won’t press any advantage he’s given and won’t take a damned risk at all.

Obama on the other hand will go negative, go over the top negative and the less it works the more negative and nasty it will go, and since they have nothing else to offer, will show his true character and by election day will be dropping in the polls every time he opens his mouth. This guy isn’t going to be a graceful loser, he’s going to be the bitter small man who was never capable of the job and the nastier he gets the lower he’ll poll.

Now with all that said, it disturbs me that Romney is going to be the nominee, but it is what it is at this point.

I agree and this will be the reality of all Presidential elections from here on our considering the political split in this country now.
No President is ever going to have a 48 state victory again.
