A project by Salafist Muslims to give away 25 million German-language Korans across the country—by mail and in town centers—has been slammed by a conservative politician, calling it a disturbance of the religious peace.

“Wherever possible, this aggressive action must be stopped,” Günter Krings, a top member of Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union parliamentary party, told Die Welt daily newspaper on Wednesday.

“Although there is in principle nothing against the distribution of religious texts,” he said, Die Welt reported he added that the radical Salafists were disturbing the religious peace with their aggressive methods.

The newspaper said that German intelligence services rated the campaign’s initiator Ibrahim Abou Nagie as a dangerous Salafist preacher.

His aim is to give away 25 million free German-language copies of the Koran to non-Muslims—his campaign is called “Read! In the name of your Lord who created you." Additional copies are also being distributed in Austria and Switzerland.

The Cologne-based preacher says the aim is to try to save people from eternal hell. …

I can just imagine what the Germans will do with those korans. I doubt the muslims would approve, and rattle their sabers accordingly, like they always do in exaggerated indignation.

The race is on between the Islamofascists and the communists to see who is going to take over and rule the entire world. Capitalism and freedom are the big losers.

If I got one I would cut it in halves -- I would photograph it as my TP roll and burn the other half in the middle of the street.

It’s great to be old and blind. At first glance I read it as
“A Korean in Every Home”

Then a Bible in every Saudi home would be appropriate, would it not?

in the old days, people used to soak old rolled up newspapers in water and let them dry out and the use it for firewood.. guess it went a little farther when it was rehydrated.

I abhor the mistreatment of sacred texts, but the Koran would make good lining for the bird cage. The history of Islam is an abomination and they do not walk in the light. Any tendency I might of had to treat Islam with even a modicum of respect died several thousand slaughtered innocents ago.

I did the exact same thing. I was trying to think how useful a Korean in every house would be.

“Read! In the name of your Lord who created you."

Or else.

Of course, it makes sense that they would try to appeal to the Kadavergehorsamkeit (look it up) that lives in the hearts of so many Germans.

Sounds great to me.

The fastest way to end Islamic influence is to give the general public a chance to read the Koran.

Yup, I agree, very useful: Sew buttons on fatigues, fetch beer, polish boots, cook rice with bean sprouts and eggs, keep floors warm with charcoal bricks in winter, etc etal!

My thought was similar. I hope someone buys an equal amount of Bibles and stands right next to him and hands them out (in Germany though).

If there's a riot in your vicinity, maybe quite a bit:)

So what? I read this BS almost 20 years ago and it left me completely unimpressed. As far as I know there are 4000 konverts per year in Germany today. This is a completely irrelevant number for a country with 82000000 inhabitants. Fact is that religion lost its importance in most European societies anyway. Rather hedonism than islam is the European Problem.

Silly Muslim! Germans are quite good at book burnings.

Also, the Germans remarkable expertise in direct reduction of undesirable populations, IIRC.

The muslims have forgotten that the Germans burned many books they did not agree with in the early 30’s. The koran, piss be upon it, should be one of them.

It is the enemies primer.
