Anyhow, I’m quite confident that any theoretical comparison between McCain’s SC appointees and Obama’s would show a stark, stark, stark difference.

I have no idea how that makes Algore's former running mate an acceptable VP pick for McCain.

I have no idea what makes you confident of that given McCain's record.
