Romney now is Bush then. Gingrich now is Reagan then. Gingrich has the ideas and the fighting spirit. Romney, like Bush is simply the "manager in chief."
Nothing is inevitable until the primaries are over. And even then, it's more and more likely now that we will have the 1st brokered convention in over 80 years.
Also look at the 08 Dem primaries where Clinton was ahead until the bitter end when Obama finally surged... You can't predict these things, and you certainly can't go with the conventional wisdom, because it is almost always wrong.
Obama is clearly afraid of Newt, but has no fear of Romney as we know....this Primary is not over by any means...their are still cards to be played.
Remmeber too that Newt said when he began this, and knowign he did not have the funds to match Romney... he would wait until the front runners had stepped down...well now the last one is gone.. so I suspect we'll be seeing Newt rise again...be watcching for it Onyx! This is going to be a great ride!!!!!!
