I'm not sure about your critique of the uniforms. Teams commonly wear the place name as opposed to the team name, especially on "road" uniforms and have done so for years.

No, I agree with BBC’s complaint - I like the team’s nickname on their home uni’s - it’s a tradition I approve of. It’s weird to play the Rangers down in Arlington and see that “TEXAS” blaring across their chest. It’s like a pitcher wearing a single digit number - it’s just visually wrong.

Show me a Miami Marlins home white jersey for this season that says “Marlins” across the front. You can’t. It doesn’t exist. Their home white jersey says “Miami” on front. Hence my comment about the “Miami Miami”.
