Sir, these are dime a dozen pop singers, two hundred years ago on the street, and on vaudeville stages for the illiterate peasants, now on TV and in Las Vegas for educated, well off people.


Do you realize, before the invention of Television, the only truly famous actor was John Wilkes Booth?

Well, there were the moving pictures, weren't there, and Rudolf Valentino. There was Rudy Vallee whose music was "to live forever", like Whitney's, remember? See the movie The Artist.
