I saw one of the eye witnesses interviewed by Ashley Banfield on CNN yesterday or Thursday.

I wasn't too impressed. She was vague and I don't think that her view was that good due to the rain and the falling darkness.

Again, I think that a good defense attorney could get her mixed up unless the DA firms up her testimony.

Remember the OJ case? OJ had the money to buy nearly the best defense available. If Zimmerman comes up with anything close, the prosecutor may have problems.

I'm trying to look at this and think about how it might look at trial.

I feel bad that Martin is dead. He was 17, and it looks like he had real relationships with both his parents although they were divorced. That gave him a good chance to live a productive life despite some relatively minor stupid teenager behavior.

I'm not yet ready to draw any conclusion on what I think actually happened between Martin and Zimmerman. I think that the media has botched their coverage badly, and since the investigators aren't talking, it's hard to know what they have now or will uncover soon. I did go to law school a long time ago, but I have never practiced criminal law. Nonetheless, I think that those three years of law school really does influence my thinking on these things.

I am very concerned that if Zimmerman is not convicted of at least manslaughter, we may return to the bad old days of the ‘60s. I grew up in Michigan, and I remember a lot about the Detroit riots. Actually, there were riots in nearly every smaller industrial city in the state at the same time. It was an awful time, and I really do not want a replay. However, I don't want to see Zimmerman railroaded into a conviction just to keep bad things from happening. This is just a very, very bad situation all around, and just a handful of nut jobs on either side could start a lot of trouble.

Couple of things. Cboldt did quite a bit of research last night and this morning. It appears the young lady in the Banfield interview had already been interviewed by Anderson Cooper.(fave her name then)

She was upset because she was not getting the attention she wanted first from LEO and then from media.

I suggest she was up on something, The Um..ah like uh sounded a bit Valley girlish. She wold be torn apart in cross exam, kept changing her story....Drama queen?????

The neighbor who wanted to be called John (as in John Doe) was a much better witness. First, he was closer, saw incident at the beginning of the scuffle, and was close enough to describe both in details. Suspect he has had some training in ID techniques.

Either the brother or father of George when interviewed last week said that the police had some evidence that had not been released, happened between the time George hung up and the first punch. They said it would confirm George's story.

As to the parents, don't think they were ever married. From my experience they were both in denial. Have some experience in the area. My son too had been influenced by drug culture. If I had not been on top of things and aware of the “hints” he too could have been dead by eighteen. Instead he put himself into treatment. Thank God for AlANON and their support

The fact that the majority of the pictures they released say not they want to remember Tray from his happy innocent time of life. OTOH maybe weren't even aware of how far he had been pulled into the “thug” life. Kids are very manipulative when dealing with two separated parents, even in the best of circumstances.

Will be surprised if George is charged with anything. Hope his lawyers are prepared to file multiple lawsuits.
