Is there anyone who can explain to me what the heck is going on? I don't get this at all...
The DC-based GOP apparatus has a new strategy to try and end the primaries and get the Conservative base on board with Romney by having Republicans with TEA Party credentials like DeMint, Rubio, and now Ryan to endorse him.
It started three weeks ago after Santorum swept the south and gave Romney a hard run in Illinois. It looked bad for Romney, and so this is how the party is stepping in to try and end it all. I can almost see the strategy sessions that went on in closed-door conference rooms at RNC headquarters, complete with PowerPoint presentations.
What has happened, is Romney has received more votes in the primaries than the others.
(2) Ryan and his buddies imagine it's possible to win a Presidential election without volunteer "GET OUT THE VOTE" folks. That particular theory is the primary reason why Romney really has had a tough time getting 50% except in captive areas with large numbers of Mormons. (or where MIttbots have flat out cheated).
(3) He's in fear of the Gadianton warriors.
They’re reading the electoral math and can see that it’s virtually impossible for Santorum to win. There is still a small possibility for a brokered convention, which Newt is banking on).
So, they are hoping that with the endorsements, Romney will pull ahead. Which would then allow for him to begin campaigning against Obama.
Something that should have been started a few months ago.

Nobody’s interested in Newt, and Santorum is likely perceived as a polarizing ignoramus.
I will vote against the worst form of Marxism in November.
Without a brokered convention, the GOP choices are not only unacceptable, but frightening.
