Honestly, there was nobody really strong running as the alternative to Romney. Nobody left you feeling confident. There were worries about both Santorum and Gingrich. It’s a shame that someone stronger wasn’t running....someone like DeMint himself.
I think the GOPe set this up early on now we're left hanging. Newt's too damaged, Rick doesn't look like he'll make it except to an open convention, who's left?
No, I don't want Romney, it terrifies me. But my Romney terror meter is just a hair below Obama so I don't know if I can make myself vote for Sketch or not.

You should probably direct this question to those that voted for Romney in the primaries. The only problem is, no one on this forum voted for him, so you probably won’t find out the real reason by asking freepers.
we’re being pragmatic. I’m a Sarah Palin supporter but she’s not running. Then I was for Herman Cain and we know how that worked out. Newt has flamed out on me as well, so I’m left with the only choice of supporting romney. I don’t especially like it but he’s 100000% better than the racist communist we currently have.
It is all personal gain. Nothing more, nothing less. There is probably about a 95% chance Romney is going to get the nomination, even if it goes to Tampa. If Ryan is going to advance, it is more advantageos to kiss the ring and endorse a sure thing rather than piss off and go against the establishment. It is pure cowardice and lack of leadership. I wish Jindal was eligible. He has been, off the top of my head, the only one that had the balls to go against Romney. I hope that wing of the party can stage a coup next go around because obviously the Bushes are still in charge at this point.
Ryan needs R’s to vote for his budget. R’s need credible people to try to influence the Tea Party.
