A 13-year-old who is one of two key witnesses in the Trayvon Martin shooting felt “pressured” by cops to tailor what he saw, his mom told the Daily News Thursday.
The revelation comes as shooter George Zimmerman’s father went public with new claims, including that Trayvon told his son “you’re going to die tonight.”
Police in Sanford, Fla., have said that Austin Brown, who went out to walk his dog on Feb. 26 near where Trayvon was shot, saw Zimmerman lying in the grass crying for help just before the slaying.
But Austin’s mom, Cheryl Brown, told the News that when cops interviewed her son eight days after Trayvon’s death, he told them he saw only one person lying in the grass and he couldn’t tell who it was.
“He kept telling them he couldn't see anything because it was too dark,” she said. “He said he couldn't see the race or anything. He never saw a second person. ”
“Then they asked him if he saw what the man was wearing. They gave him a multiple choice question and gave him three colors. He said, ‘I think it was red.’”
Zimmerman, 28, was wearing a red and black jacket. Trayvon, 17, was wearing a grey hoodie.
“Knowing my son, I believe he felt pressured to give the color,” Brown said.
“He really couldn't see anything,” she said. “I think when interviewing a 13 year old you don't give them three options.”

I remember that episode. Illustrates that thuggery has a multiplicative effect. Have enough of a reputation and you don’t even have to intimidate them directly.

John is an adult witness, They have statements from six. The child is the seventh. You can see their ages, etc at cities website.
The cops should never have released his name then he could have been anonymous. She’s trying to protect her kid. She’s hoping with her revelation her son won’t be called to testify. She knows he’ll tell the truth about what he THOUGHT he saw and that will put his life in jeopardy. Can’t say I blame her.

In Baltimore’s thugland (i.e., almost all the city) the no snitchin’ creed is enforced by intimination and threats. Potential witnesses in a number of murder trials have themselves been killed before testifying. This thuggish belief system has been rapidly spreading from Baltimore to the surrounding counties (e.g., Baltimore County & Howard County).

John’s account and dad and girl friend stating that “he was just sitting on the porch when he was shot” Some one is in denial big time.
Released or leaked?
A “new” witness interviewed on Anderson Cooper right now says Martin was face down after the witness heard the gunshot.
The witness said he could not see who was on top during the struggle.
The witness tries to describe the two men after the shooting but he describes the 5’ 8 Zimmerman as the “larger man” and the 6’3 Martin as “the boy.” But he unwittingly confirms Zimmerman’s story.
Martin was FACE DOWN because he was ON TOP of Zimmerman and Zimmerman slid out from under him after he had to shoot him to protect himself.
The dumb leftie mob is trying to say Martin was “face down” which must mean he was shot in the back. Could they be any more stupid?
He was face down because he was ON TOP of Mr. Zimmerman when Mr. Zimmerman had to defend himself.
He was face down on the side walk with his arms under him when the police arrived. Second officer turned him over to start CPR. COnsistant with both John’s, Austin’s and Zimmerman’s story.
Zimmerman needs to get out of the country.
There is no way he can get a fair trial the way the racist mobs, black and white, are fired up.
