I think that would have been better phrased as "One is portrayed as innocent, the other portrayed as belligerent."

I heard one story say he took a swing at the bus driver and another say he was caught with an empty marijuana baggie but not that he beat up a bus driver or was caught doing dope.

In talking about this case both Jesse Jackson and Karen Finney made references to Voting Rights legislation, which seemed oddly tangential.

This could be the true political motivation for the two Revs and others trying to exploit this

The distinction being that taking action with the full intent of doing a bad deed in not as bad as actually accomplishing the deed?
