George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.

1. Hispanic guy was walking back to his car, having “lost” the black guy.
2. Black kid jumps out says “you have a problem”? Hispanic responds “no” and reaches for cellphone. Black replies “you do now” and cold cocks the Hispanic.
3. Hispanic hits the ground, nose broken. Black guy proceeds to beat the tar out of his. Hispanic is screaming for help.
4. There is a scramble for the gun, Hispanic blows much-needed hole in Black guy’s chest.
Multiple witnesses and physical evidence cooborate the above.
It’s self-defense. Period.
As for the boy getting Killed I think it should never have happened but none of us know the true story..I would just about die if anything like that happened to my sons..This whole thing needed to stop with people listening to Jessie Jackass and Fat Albert the fools..and the thugs that are offering a reward for dead or alive should be arrested. ..They are starting race war and they will lose even with their presidentis behind them..Just wait until Obama loses...

Captain Zimmerman had just seconds to make a life or death call when he found himself being stalked by Trayvon and from many factual accounts, Trayvon was a life long criminal allegedly out looking for victims.

The problem, if there is ever a trial of some kind, is your #2. That tape has the Hispanic saying a vile racial thing about the black guy before they confront. So did he also say it to the boy, or was he cold cocked for nothing as in your description? The scenario might have included a racial slur AT the boy. We may never know. But the recording IS evidence that Zimmerman was racist and that hurts him.

If Trayvon grabbed the gun, it may have been more likely that they fought over it. It may have purely been an ACCIDENT.

The test of the brother's Feb 21 tweet, on this thread was “yu ain’t tell me yu swung on a bus driver", which I interpret as "You didn't tell me you took a swing at a bus driver". Now, this says nothing about more than one swing, whether the swing connected, nor whether the driver was a school bus driver, or a city bus driver in an altercation unrelated to school.
So how does this tweet relate to a suspension, and was it the primary cause?

The police made a determination based on evidence at the scene, on 911 calls and eye-witness accounts.
I suspect this whole tragedy could have been avoided if Mr.Martin had used common sense, stopped, and chatted with Mr.Zimmerman. Mr.Zimmerman has, as a member of community watch, a history of informing the Sanford police of questionable or suspicious activity in that gated community. He does not, as far as I can ascertain, have a history of violent confrontations, something community watch folks are warned against doing.

It is interesting how now all the evidence supports the self-defense story of the shooter. Sounds like more than a few politicians jumped the gun with Obama. His alleged weight has varied from 130 to 190. The autopsy report would give his real height and weight, but I haven't heard it being released, which is odd.

It seems there was both a 10 and 5 day suspension for Martin if media reports are accurate (which is kind a bad thing to assume in this case)
One in October of last year and one in February.
I am sure there will be a lot of interesting facts about Martin to come out eventually. The Martin “family lawyer” has sure worked hard to keep Trayvon’s school disciplinary records from being made public.
You can bet it's not because they want to keep his SAT test scores private. BTW, what kind of family has a "family lawyer" on call. One that has to deal with periodic criminal complaint's perhaps?
It's looking more and more like Zimmerman was correct when he suspected Trayvon was casing the area for burglary.

From everything I’ve seen on this matter so far, it really seems to me that Trayvon was the one out looking for trouble, and he most certainly found it.
