At which time he was returning to his truck or had already reached his truck.
It may not be a crime to follow someone, but you start following me and I am going to prepare to defend myself, especially if I have not done anything wrong. And if he was returning to his truck, why did he say on the 911 call to have the LEO call him when he arrived so that Zimmerman could tell the LEO where he was at that time?

If he told the 911 to have the LEO call him when he arrived it indicates that he had no intention of engaging the person he was watching. Or he was at his truck and was going to tell the LEO where the last place he saw him. You don't know all the facts nor do I.

Do you mean you would defend against a person walking behind just observing you when there is no law against it? Why? It appears from the reports coming out now that Martin was the first attacker.

“...and I am going to prepare to defend myself, especially if I have not done anything wrong.”
I agree, but if the person following you stops the pursuit, as evidence SUGGESTS G. Zimmerman did, and you then physically attack the pursuer, YOU, SIR, are now the aggressor and self defense reverts to the pursuer. In this case, G Zimmerman.
Let the facts come out, whether good, bad or ugly, then make your opinion known.

He said he did not know so he then agreed to meet them by the mailboxes. He was jumped before he got there.
