Not necessarily. If I hit someone dead on in the jaw, the other person can drop and hit the back of his head on the ground. Not uncommon.

Considering the police report stated his back was wet and cover with grass the fight seem to have been on grass...so either he was hit so hard in the face he cut the back of his head hitting the grass or he was hit in the face and the back of thehis head...either way he was hit......so question was martin hit or just shot...because its unlikely martin beat Zimmerman after he was shot...so if no fist marks on martin...martin was giving Zimmerman a one way beating and Zimmerman unable to stop him or fight back till he shot him
