“Everyone knows what Santorum meant”

Then he needs to say what he meant. Not create and issue that will become a Campaign add for Obamma in the GE.

The video.

Then he needs to say what he meant.

You got that right. It's unbelievable that the two leading GOP candidates are someone who reminds me of a typical Democrat (Romney) and someone who reminds me of a typical high school hall monitor (Santorum).

I heard what he said, and he's said it many times before. He's right - if given a choice between Obama and a facsimile people might just decide to stick with Obama.

Cavuto knows what Santorum was saying, too. He's playing the game, being purposely obtuse, and its too bad cause I've always liked him.

The same thing was done with every single candidate before Santorum - an unflattering narrative is manufactured and the candidate is confronted at every turn with it - forced to explain themselves - completely taking them off message.

Its a shame people keep falling for it.

That’s the media spin. During the debates all the candidates have said that any among them is preferable to Obama. Santorum was saying what several here of FR have said for quite some time that Romney is Obama-Lite and should Romney be the nominee (which now is all but a forgone conclusion) that voter turnout from the base will be dampened.
