If turning off my 14 Watt Chinese Twirly Mercury-laden CFL for an hour will help the planet, then I should switch to the 150W Sylvania Tungsten Tanning bulbs and turn them off to help the planet EVEN MORE !

Due to Irene, I celebrated earth day Aug 28, 2011 - 7:30am through Sept 16, 2011-2:00pm. That’s 462.5 hours. I did my share. The earth owes me. My lights stay ON, and no squiggly bulbs will be used.
I study the leftist worldview in order to understand them,
but not to sympathize with them.
In understanding their motivations, it makes it less likely that I’ll get brick marks on my head from beating my head against the wall in frustration.
And, now you know why you’re a viscious, mean, intolerant bastard when you simply point out the failings of the welfare system, green energy, etc.
Not breathing for 20 minutes will eliminate a lot of carbon dioxide. Less Greenie libs, and less carbon--double bonus for the planet!!!!!

A few years back, there was some nutty college professor who wanted everyone to join hands around the planet then jump up and down at the appointed time. The desired result was changing Earth’s orbit so it would be further from the sun.

“Pledge to switch off your lights” - man, if you can get a can of spray wax to turn off your lights, then you’re really onto something.
The irony of using power to run the computers to talk about saving the planet and all that is lost on the liberals. Their reasoning ability does not allow them to comprehend the hypocrisy of turning off lights to save power, but using so much power to run their electronic gadgets.
