The postman is reporting what he remembers Mrs Ayers saying, so is it not directly knowledge. It is second hand.

Really? Why do so many people comment about things without bothering to read what they are commenting about?

One bright, warm Chicagoland day, he recounts, he met the student who fit Mary Ayers’ description in front of the Ayers home in Glen Ellyn, Ill. That young man, Hulton is convinced, was Barack Obama.

“He greeted me,” Hulton says. “He was very polite, dressed nicely, but informally – slacks and a dress shirt – and he spoke with no accent. Immediately this young black man entered into conversation with me. He told me he had taken the train out from Chicago and had come to thank the Ayers family personally for having helped him with his education.”

Hulton remembers asking the young man what his plans were for the future.

“He looked right at me and told me he was going to be president of the United States,” Hulton says.

and a “college professor” at that? Well at least he has something in common with Bill Ayers. ;-)

Mr. Hulton's deposition is credible and compelling.

He is a serious person at the close of a sober life.

One does not conflate detail in the hand delivery of the public's mail.

He risks everything by speaking out.

Ayers the younger certainly wrote Dreams of My Father.

The couple launched Obama's career in politics.

The Dohrn agency supplied the beard known as Michelle.

(Just as Wright's "church" supplied the three dead gay black men among others.)

That the elder Ayers fraught with white liberal guilt subsidized the anticolonial Marxist-Muslim is quite consistent.

Just as the mother's line provided the CIA laundering in the Third World as well as the CPUSA sex fiend Frank Marshall Davis--who did after all ghost write that outre 1966 work.

OK, first he reports on what Mrs Ayers said. That is second hand. Then he claims to meet a man who he says is the same person revealed to him by Mrs Ayers, but we do not know if it is the same person.

And why would Mrs Ayers be having such a conversation with the mailman? It seems too perfect for a story like this.

“Yep, I was the Ayers mailman and you know what? They revealed that they were grooming the future president! Then I saw a young black man you looked just like Obama AND he told me he would be president.” Yeah, right. This sounds like an urban myth.

Memory is mailable and this took place in 1989. He could have imagined a lot of the detail, like that the man said his goal was to be president. That sounds like an embellishment.

And again, WHY would Obama — if it was him — be talking to the mailman? That’s convenient (for this story).

He could be making this stuff up based on faulty memory. This remark make me think he isn’t really clear about details himself:
