Hey, if he will get the lazy Republican who likes mediocrity off of his couch, then it will help push Obama out of the white hut. It stinx but that’s politics.

If Newt didn’t get it in Reagan’s day (around 1982), and didn’t get it as of 2008 when he joined Nancy Pelosi to herald the need to fix Man-Made Global Warming some twenty-six years later, why should I operate under the assumption he gets it today?

Newt passes himself off as a historical smarty pants, yet he couldn’t stop from putting his foot in his historical mouth.

A peculiar endorsement, at least in timing ...

I suspect that most Alabama voters have already made-up their minds, perhaps by Sunday (two days ago) at the latest ...

Santorum might be privately miffed that the Alabama Gov endorsement didn't come two weeks sooner ...

Go Newt !

Wanna see hypocrisy?

Dig us some of the Scozzafava threads or Gingrich announces for president threads. LOL

Newt is an opportunist who will saything to get elected.

If he gets elected, he will change his mind because he is smarter than others. He wastes no time bloviating about his own intellect.

You got to look at everything including where he is at now. Newt is an “out of box” idea man and of course some of those ideas will be atrocious. Other ideas will be brilliant. None could fly without getting past Congress. Focus on nothing but negatives about everybody and you will miss out on a terrible lot.

And your Newt friend PNSN had some great comments too that I agree with:

“With Pelosi on one side and Dede (NY23) on the other. He should run on the ‘rat ticket - a good chance of winning as their candidate. Then SARAH will chew him up and spit him out.”

“Good point but Newt made himself clear awhile back saying ‘The Reagan Era is over’, being a global warming believer and his undying support for the liberal Dede (NY23) who ended up throwing her support behind the rat in the race and against the conservative.”

Two points I whole-heartedly concur with. Now who is PNSN supporting, oh wait, what?

More gems from more supposed Newt supporters showing their “love” of Newt back in 2010.

[He is real cozy with the Alabama Teacher's Union.]

Which is why Bently and Santo are so close. They think alike. (I know, it's “vile” to say damning things about Saint Rick on their “go to worship” threads.)

Interesting. Why are you not using this one anymore Frank?

That is some turn around in less than a year.

DoughtyOne ...

He (Newt) also stated that the first Reagan/Gorbachev summit was the scariest one since Hitler/McMillin.

I don't have the time right now to address your criticisms ...

However, regarding the summit, Newt was correct ...

Re-read your history ...

Insiders know that the US-USSR were dangerously close to having a nuclear war ...

It was a VERY dangerous moment ...

And Newt applauds Reagan for NOT bowing to Gorachov ...

There ... fixed that ...

LMAO, he (Newt) hated the Reagan legacy. “The world has changed.”.

DoughteryOne ... you are a "fool" ...

I guess that Michael Reagan endorsed Newt Gingich (January 2012) because "Newt despised Reagan" ...

You "really" need to be more selective about your comments ...

The "Currency of the Day" at Free Republic is "facts" ... not assine, unfounded, made-from-thin-air opinions ...

Do us all a favor ...

Stop bringing toothpicks to gunfights ..

Google Search:

“FUNG” + “Gingrich” + “Free Republic”

Gingrich backs Obamacare’s Individual Mandate
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2720316/posts

Gingrich campaign slogan to Dems Callista can take Michelle
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2718052/posts

Gingrich announcing run for President
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2717484/posts

etc.

Surprising going through those threads and noticing heavy Newt supporters now that trashed him like no other. At this rate, none of them should ever mention Santorum’s Spector or Romney endorsements ever again because they don’t have a principled leg to stand on with their own conservatism.

This is the chap who came up with the Contract With America in the middle of the Clintonian darkness. One could do worse.

I don’t know if it helps him, but that is great! I never know if endorsements really help.

I hope Santorum has a great day!
