Republicans Suffer Among Female Voters [Limbaugh, Catholic Church, Santorum To Blame?]

Republicans Suffer Among Female Voters By Karen Tumulty,

The fragile gains Republicans had been making among female voters have been erased by what in recent weeks has become a national shouting match over reproductive issues, potentially handing President Obama and the Democrats an enormous advantage this fall.

In the 2010 congressional midterm elections, Republican candidates ran evenly with Democrats among women, a break with long-established trends. That was a major reason the GOP regained control of the House.

THE FIX | In Ohio, polling shows support for both men was far less enthusiastic than you might expect. Now, female voters appear to be swinging back to Democrats.

When the Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey asked last summer which party should control Congress, a slim 46-42 percent plurality of women said it should be the Democrats.

But in a survey released Monday, compiling polling since the beginning of the year, that figure had widened considerably to a 15-point advantage for the Democrats, according to polling by the team of Democratic pollster Peter Hart and Republican Bill McInturff. Fifty-one percent favored Democratic control; only 36 percent wanted to see the Republicans in charge.

Both sides have tried to shape the narrative in this battle for and about women. But many Republicans are beginning to wish they had never waded into what has become a heated conversation over contraception, who should have it and what it says about people who use it.

True. I’m more upset with the RNC for sitting on its haunches while the liberal media drives the story.

This is just a taste if what we are in for.
Hannity pimped that dumbass film yesterday of Obama and the left is going nuts because they can make us out to be racists from the way hannity is running with it.

We all know Obamas predispositions already Sean! This is not news.

Obama has done far worse things while in office than commiserate with some racist black guy with a chip on his shoulder.

We are going to get creamed if we cant frame the narrative to be about serious issues in the general election.

We can’t allow this election to be a bout Birth control and racism or gay marriage.
We all feel strongly about this stuff but it don’t mean **** if we are all unemployed when the nuke goes off in downtown anytown USA.

The majority of female voters in my circle detest Obama. The feminist voters are another issue. To paraphrase the Irishman ‘Steven’ in “Braveheart” - “they're not right in the head”.

You are too kind. I have used much harsher terms than “illiterate electorate.” It would turn your computer screen blue.

There has always been a female pro-Democrat gender gap becuase women tend to reward them more for their promises of free stuff. This isn't new. It is just getting worse. Just like more liberal men are also voting Democrat on promises of free stuff.

There has always been a gender gap of women voting Democrat. Always. This is one of the reasons I am sorry women got the vote. Women getting the vote has lead to more Democrat power. Not blaming anyone, it is just a fact. The female vote has always gone to the Dems and always will, it's just getting more disproportionate.

“We ignore this at our peril” You have got to be kidding. The Post would tell you the sun rises in the West if they thought it would help Obama. “women” voters (idiot liberals like Nancy Pelosi) have been voting dim for generations. Smart women (those who know how to balance the family budget) have voted for fiscal responsibility.

You apparently aren’t old enough to remember the ‘gender gap’ that Reagan suffered through ( oh but wait he won). You are truly clueless

I was thinking, women who depend on the government to pay for their eight children, their endless sex, their medical, food and housing payments. These are women who are married to the government. What country was it that required government dole folks to work a certain mount of hours for their check- o- matic? Anyway, people just didn’t want to work. Those women are enslaved to the dem party. Between those women and women who work for the government, I would say there is indeed a large block of enslaved folks in America.

Is all this means is their latest bid to take attention off Obama’s record is temporarily working It is up to us to bring back the message that Women are hurting more under Obama than Republicans. It is apparent that the Obama team saw a problem with them losing women and have attempted to correct it. We can’t expect the Republicans to fight this we must remind women what is better, a job that can support a family or free birth control?
