AllState, Sears Join List Of Advertisers Announcing No More Ads On Limbaugh
Mediaite ^ | March 5, 2012 | James Crugnale

Posted on 03/05/2012 4:02:37 PM PST by Free ThinkerNY

The furor over Rush Limbaugh‘s controversial comments directed at Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke has lead to advertisers dropping his eponymous radio program. 12 advertisers, including Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, and Allstate Insurance have pulled ads from the program, and/or distanced themselves from the show, either permanently or temporarily, ThinkProgress’s Adam Peck reports.

“Allstate’s advertising purchase strategy has not included the Rush Limbaugh Show,” the company wrote in a statement on their Facebook page. “Earlier today, we responded to inquiries about our advertising relationship with the show by stating we did not advertise on or sponsor it. As radio listeners notified us that they were hearing Allstate ads during the show this afternoon, we contacted the vendor that arranges for our advertising placements and discovered that an error had been made and advertising time had mistakenly been purchased for the show.”

not good,

who has stayed?

Allstate is a terrible company when it comes to auto liability. Quick to deny, slow to pay.

Time to attack them for advertising on left wing shows.

ALL these sleezes are assuming the NYC madison ave world view. They do not understand how the real america works.

It’s probably local affiliate advertising.

No problem, just inform every advertiser that you will take your services elsewhere.

Spread the word.

Sears is closing about 126 stories, I have never head of them advertising on Rush, and Allstate insurance is one of the worst in the country next to the lizard and progressive and that damn duck. None of which would I ever buy.

Sears is in financial trouble right now so you would think they would be smarter than this. I switched my insurance from All State to another 2 yrs ago.

I hope they feel the pain of their stupidity.

legal zoom is a wonderful company, their legal screwups keep many lawyers in business.

never mind the fact that all their forms are FREE online or for a nominal prices at the local staples.

All these idiot companies are doing is inviting people that have jobs and listen to Limbaugh to boycott THEM.

Not smart business.

IF SHERI’S BERRIES PULLS OUT I WON’T SEND ANYMORE OF THOSE BERRIES TO ANYONE.. and they are nice.

I would bet, though Rush does not push boycotts, when his listeners quit those products or don’t go for them ( I was about to go for Carbonite) and they realize how many customers they lose..well they may come crawling back. Worst case scenario, Rush might have to do what GB did and I would bet all of us listeners would go right on over and subscribe..and the local radio stations would lose too because the people they advertise for would be getting the message out to fewer listeners as well so it hurts all sorts of business. Bet Barry’s thugs got to the sponsors.

Of old, I would have fought tooth and nail to defend Limbaugh against the panderers to leftists.

But since he himself has pandered to them and to the establishment by trying, indirectly, to nudge Newt out of the picture, I’m not in any hurry to defend him now.

Probably local ads.

The 12 can go on MSNBC with their support.

Add these folks to the “Made in China” list.
