I have strived here on FR to convince conservatives to vote for Newt. But some refuse, calling Newt a “pig” due to adultery.
It is shameful how people refer to themselves as Christian yet have no understanding what that truly means. Many Christian saints led lives of corruption and debauchery before finally seeing ‘the light’.

“...strictly an investment...”
True, so true. Bain Capital was like a wrecking yard - wring as much value as possible out of the wreckage, then dispose of the remains.

" There's no question that at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate.
And what I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn't trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them. I found that I felt compelled to seek God's forgiveness.
Not God's understanding, but God's forgiveness. I do believe in a forgiving God. And I think most people, deep down in their hearts hope there's a forgiving God.
Somebody once said that when we're young, we seek justice, but as we get older, we seek mercy."~Newt Gingrich

Yes. Christians aren’t better than other people. We forvige others who’ve sinned against us, and seek forgiveness for our sins against others. True contrition is valued by God.

If you were listening to Hannity’s radio program today, Newt mentioned a debate and Hannity offered to host it!

I’m Catholic, but I don’t think I’m better than anyone else. I try to be the best person I can be. Treat others as I’d like to be treated.

Exactly right. If we as Christians do not believe in forgiveness and redemption, are we really Christians?

It's generally not considered wise to send the
enemy the personal vitals of your troop roster.
Please refer to P's comment and re-read SunTzu.

Old Bar is still pushing the old RINO party line.
Maybe she thinks Romney will ask her JEB to be his running mate.

I noticed that early on in the debates. He just wowed me. NOT one candidate running has accomplished so much for this country as Newt.

This is the theology of Cheap Grace.Care to expound a bit on your comment, Gracie? I guess you believe that God is more likely to forgive Rick Santorum for lying than he is to forgive Newt Gingrich for his adultery? That's not what the Holy Bible says.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
