I have to say that I’m worried that this may be the beginning of the end for Rush. I hope to God that I am dead wrong, but I find myself wondering from time to time...is there anything worth fighting for anymore? I live in a country full to the brim of idiots and coniving evil bastards.
If I was Rush I might just take my wife and my money elsewhere and leave them all to each other, screw ‘em so to speak. But that’s just me, and I can be moody from time to time. ANyhow, dunno why I’m even writing this crap, let’s hope I’m so far off I’m in another universe tonight...
Rush is not going anywhere. We have to continue to fight. If we don’t fight, the left will bring back the fairness doctrine and guess what..Conservative voices will be silenced. The left is able to get away with everything because they have the media, we don’t..we have to find other ways to fight because if we don’t, this country is finished

I think Rush’s show will end by 2015. My guess is that the left will pursue him all the harder now, and he’ll get fed up with being hamstrung by his advertisers.
Like Rush, I find the idea that I need to pay for birth control for strangers incredible. I find the idea that a woman who attends a $50K/year college needs me to buy her condoms laughable. And it seems intuitively obvious to me (and to my 14 year old daughter) that an unmarried woman who needs $1000/year to avoid pregnancy is a slut. Like Rush and my daughter, I do the math and just start laughing at her claim.
But modern America is past the point of no return, IMHO. 7 states now allow homosexuals to marry. The likely GOP nominee rebuked military leaders in 2008 for being negative towards homosexuals. My sister, who was a missionary for much of her adult life, was cooing over her son’s marriage, and how she was sure God was going to bless their union - while I bit my tongue to avoid pointing out that they had been shacking up for two years and were proud of it.
I think America has reached a point where the only unforgivable sin is believing in individual responsibility. As a nation, we have been blessed by God, but we’ve rejected God with a vengeance. I think the majority of Americans reject the idea that sin is possible. To the extent they believe it exists, they blame God for it.
My values were dominant in the 50s, but there is no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of Americans reject what I hold dear. And if Mitt ends up the nominee, I’m going to find it very hard to get out and ‘fight’ for ‘my’ guy - because like Christie, Mitt is not and never will be ‘my guy’. My values are incomprehensible to him, as his are to me. And I guess I’m one of those horrible social conservatives, more motivated by the moral cesspool we’re headed for than by taxes.
Remember, if soldiers of wars past decided they “just couldn’t go any further, that maybe they will lose the battle,” etc., we would’ve lost wars. This IS war, and there are wins and losses until you WIN the war. Dig deep within yourself for the courage and fire in your belly to move forward and fight. Warriors stand together and protect each other..they do not abandon each other. Look to the example of our brave men and women today...they fight.
Is this country, warts and all, worth saving? Damn right, it is. The enemy does not quit, and they will have to be taken out. Learn from this and do not be a quitter...fight for this country, our Constitution, our FREEDOM and liberty.
Do not allow setbacks to discourage you from staying the course...think of all the soldiers before you in the same, similar situation.
Better to fight the left on our feet, than on bended knee. There’s a saying about fair weather friends...they’re around you when all is going well, but when things get rough, they disappear. This is OUR country...soldiers past have lost their lives for THIS country so that WE may be free. Don’t be a fair weather friend to this country. Step up and be counted, and help WIN this war.
